Welcome to the Royal Cape Golf Club, South Africa’s oldest and most prestigious course appears to be its most humble too. Set in the backdrop of Cape Town’s Table Mountain Range and a relaxed 15 minute drive from the city centre, Royal Cape Golf Club enjoys tremendous views of Devils Peak and the long tail of the Table Mountain Range. The Club began on the 14th of November 1885 and over the past 120 years has managed to evolve with golf and yet maintain its extraordinary heritage; a formidable achievement.

The Par 72 parklands style course has been built on relatively flat terrain that makes for comfortable walks between the tees and caters to all levels of golfer. Royal Cape Golf Club has played host to numerous amateur and professional championship events, including hosting the SA Open, a mammoth, ten times. Previous winners here include Gary Player, Ernie Els, Mark McNulty and Trevor Immelman.

The Cape’s famous “Doctor” or South Easterly wind will keep you on your toes from green to green ensuring a well-deserved sense of accomplishment at the 19th. With its smooth running greens, pristine fairways and well placed bunkers and water hazards, Royal Cape provides an excellent playing experience that is open year-round.
