Kleine Zalze Lodge Three Cities offers 41 stylishly decorated rooms and suites set alongside the first fairway of the championship De Zalze Golf Course, with the clubhouse within walking distance, just on the other side of the Blaauwklippen.

 

The rooms enjoy breathtaking views of the Stellenbosch Mountains and are surrounded by 120 hectares of vineyards. Accommodation is available in a variety of units, namely two-bedroom Family Suites, one-bedroom Suites, Superior Rooms, and Standard Rooms. Although the lodge offers all the comforts associated with a 4 Star facility, for those who prefer to self-cater the rooms also feature fully-equipped kitchens or kitchenettes. In addition to 24-hour security, all units feature air-conditioning, underfloor heating, satellite television, Internet access, room safes, and European wall plugs.

 

Features at the lodge include a rim-flow swimming pool, a range of vineyard trails for hiking or running, mountain bike trails, and wine tastings and cellar tours. Golfers can indulge virtually on the spot at the De Zalze Golf Course, which is one of the Cape’s finest venues, and continue at a range of other top-ranking courses in the Winelands and beyond.

 

Attentive, thoughtful, but unobtrusive service is the lodge's hallmark. As the lodge is located just 3 km from the beautifully preserved historic university town of Stellenbosch, it is ideally located for exploring what is one of South Africa’s oldest communities. Many of the original buildings have been faithfully restored, giving visitors a glimpse of life in the town dating back 200 to 300 years ago. There are many outstanding examples of Cape Dutch domestic architecture, mainly along Dorp Street, as well as several leading art galleries, museums, beautiful boutiques, antique shops, jewellers, farm stalls, and an exciting range of restaurants, bistros, and brasseries. Saturday morning organic and flea markets provide a wonderful opportunity for browsing and engaging with the area’s creative talent.

 

Kleine Zalze also lies on the Stellenbosch Wine Route, South Africa’s most prominent wine route and source of most of the country’s award-winning wines, making it the perfect base from which to learn first-hand about the country’s famous names in wines.
